Review Precision Fair 2017
On 15 and 16 November the Precision Fair organized by Mikrocentrum took place for the 17th time. The Precision Fair is the international meeting point for precision technology. a Record number of more than 4000 visitors from 25 countries found its way to the NH Conference Center Koningshof in Veldhoven to meet 300 exhibitors and attend 50 lectures.
During the Precision Fair, BKL proudly presented their new demo model. The primary purpose of this model is to showcase BKL’s competency in developing mechatronic machines in addition to hoisting and lifting equipment.
BKL provided also a presentation: “Via Design4Safety to more Efficiency” by our Manager Engineering and Technical Account Manager:
During the development of machines and equipment for operational environments functionality and manufacturability are seen as obvious and important factors.
While safety is often considered as a burden and driving up costs it is wise to take this aspect into account from the early phases of your product development cycle. When done well and in the same way as all other DFX aspects, Design for Safety will increase your overall efficiency and prevent, or even lower, total costs over the lifetime of the product or tool.
The following presentation elaborates on the philosophy and available tools to integrate Design for Safety into your product development process.
Our thanks to all visitors for visiting our stand.
