The Rolling Road is a testbench for trailers, trucks and buses. This testbench is developed to lifetime testing for compete axles and / or related assemblies.
BKL supports the Shared Facilities group with knowledge of the Machine Directive, CE marking and Design for Safety. Goal is to ensure a safe design and operation environment and full CE compliancy for “The Rolling Road”.

BKL consultancy approach:

• Gather information of the system
• Determine applicable standards and legislations
• Determine the borders of the system on which the CE marking will apply
• Full Risk analysis of the complete system during its complete lifecycle: Risk inventarisation, evaluation (ranking), reduction measures
• Calculate Performance / safety level PL or SIL
• Validation of safety software
